"I met
Leighton a couple of years ago when I was Personal Training in America.
I've got considerable experience all over the world working for different
gyms; I've met many personal trainers, and few impress me as much as Leighton.
The first thing that impressed me about Leighton was his knowledge, particularly
on power training, which I was getting into at the time. Leighton was
training me 3-4 x week for 2 months, within 2 weeks I could really feel
much more powerful (I could jump higher, and do triple hand clap push
ups) He mixed up weight training with plyometrics and sprint sessions.
These sessions were very tough. So his friendly and coaching/motivating
style was integral to keep me turning up to our early morning sessions!
I have to say I enjoyed every session. He set goals for each week and
I truly felt that he was with me in helping me achieve them."

a different approach concentrating on balancing in strange positions whilst
moving light weights. The benefit of this was not felt at first but after
4 weeks I seemed to have gained almost perfect balance whilst wakeboarding.
In addition to this Leighton introduced me to PNF stretching. This quickly
made me more flexible than I had ever been and I continue to use PNF this
today. I really enjoyed working with Leighton I was very surprised by
his techniques, he has changed my perspective on training. I believe in

"My first Personal Training session with
Leighton was at Fitness First, in Poole, about five years ago.
Prior to that I’d developed a habit of only using the exercise
equipment I liked and I never really pushed myself. Leighton’s
expert tuition was just what I needed; he set goals that were
both achievable yet enjoyable, and encouraged me to do much more
than I would ever have done on my own. My goal at that time was
to tone up and lose a little bit of weight, both of which I easily
achieved within a few months.
I saw Leighton regularly for some time,
but based on what he taught me I became confident enough
to carry on with my own exercise programme. I now
only seeing him when I am bored with my routine, for a
specific purpose (such as after Christmas!), or I feel
the need for a ‘kick up the backside’, as it
were, to stop me from becoming complacent!

I started training with Leighton In January 2008, having had two meniscus and One ACL replacements as a result of a skiing accident. I felt the rehabilitation with my physiotherapist was no longer productive and wanted to try something else. Over a period of six months we trained five hours a week, which fortunately was covered by my health insurance.
The results speak for themselves. I gained a lot of stability in and around my knee. Pain and soreness was reduced and became infrequent, with an increase in general mobility. My confidence to exercise increased and I now run two miles, three times a week. I'm really glad I decided to contact Leighton.
