NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist

The CES is designed to work with clients suffering from musculoskeletal impairments, imbalances or post-rehabilitation concerns. Problems are often caused when one muscle or a series of muscles are overactive (too strong) or Under-active (too weak), leading to eventual injury.

Using a 4 stage correction continuum and incorporating The NASM Optimum Performance programme these problems can be;

  1. Identified.
  2. Corrected.

These imbalances may appear as the following symptoms:

  • Muscular aches and pain e.g. back pain.
  • Muscular tightness, generally or one specific area.
  • Muscular imbalances postural e.g. one shoulder higher than the other.
  • During sport, e.g. one leg with an irregular movement whilst running.
  • Injury, an injury that recurs over time.
  • Injury rehabilitation.

The Stats:

  • Low back pain affects nearly 80 percent of adults.

Musculoskeletal symptoms of knee, shoulder and foot/ankle pain, are the number-two reason individuals seek out physicians.
